For more than a decade, I’ve worked directly with seniors in a healthcare setting, where I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming healthcare decisions can be, and how difficult it can be to navigate our healthcare system.
I’ve watched patients and families struggle to understand their insurance coverage, navigate prior authorizations, file appeals for additional coverage, and figure out what their plans actually cover. I’ve also seen how a lack of understanding can prevent people from using their benefits to their full potential. Those experiences taught me that insurance decisions don’t exist in a vacuum. They can have a meaningful impact on the care people receive, the costs they face, and their overall peace of mind.
That experience is what led me to create Bernstein Benefits. Choosing insurance should be about understanding your needs, your priorities, and your options, then finding coverage that makes sense for your life. My background in healthcare gives me a perspective that goes beyond the insurance policy itself.
